This scholarship aims to recognize and support students who share our values of financial responsibility and empowerment. With a total award of $2,000, we are excited to offer three deserving students the opportunity to receive financial assistance for their educational pursuits. The first-place winner will be awarded $1,000, while the second and third-place winners will each receive $500 towards their education.

Applicants will be evaluated based on their essay submissions, with a chance to secure a portion of the $2,000 scholarship fund. The awarded funds will be directly disbursed to the winner’s chosen college or university, contributing towards their educational pursuits.Through this scholarship, we aim to empower students and support their educational journey and nurture their potential to make a positive impact on individuals and families facing divorce.

Essay Requirements

For this year’s scholarship, we ask students to create a 1,000 word article. The format of the essay should be 12-point font, Times New Roman, double-spaced and with 1-inch margins. The essay title is as follows:

“For Richer or Poorer: The Financial Challenges and Opportunities of Divorce”

How To Apply For DivorceBob Finance Scholarship

To apply for DivorceBob’s Scholarship Award, you will need to email hello@divorcebob.com with the following information:

Subject title “DivorceBob Financial Awareness Scholarship”

  • Your name and contact number
  • The name of your college or university
  • What year of college you are in (high school graduates are classified as ‘college freshmen’)
  • Your current GPA
  • Your essay in a PDF format

Who Can Apply For DivorceBob Scholarship Award?

To qualify for the DivorceBob Legal and Financial Empowerment Scholarship, students must:

  • – Have an average GPA of at least 2.5
  • – Be a current or future college student (i.e. a high school senior)
  • – Complete an essay submission

Essay Deadlines

Please note the following important deadlines for DivorceBob scholarship:

– Start Date: 7th November annually
– Due Date: 7th August annually
– $2,000 Awarded: 17th August annually

The selected winners are kindly requested to acknowledge their success within 10 days of the announcement; failure to respond within this timeframe will result in the selection of an alternate winner. The scholarship funds will be promptly disbursed to the winners’ designated college or university, ensuring that the transfer occurs no later than 10 days from the date of notification of their achievement.

Terms and Conditions

The DivorceBob Scholarship is open to any citizen or resident of the United States who is a high school senior or college/university student in an accredited part-time or full-time 2 to 4 year course that is located within the United States. Students from American accredited universities located elsewhere are also encouraged to enter.

Entries must be unique and any plagiarism will be rejected. Essays containing false information or falsified documents will be disqualified. The scholarship is open to all applicants regardless of national origin, military status, religion, gender, race, religion or disability.

Submitted applications will be reviewed by a neutral representative from DivorceBob and the $2,000 will be awarded as 3 separate prizes ($1,000, $500 and $500) to the applicants deemed most successful at the sole discretion of DivorceBob. Subject to the winners’ approval, DivorceBob may publish the winners’ name on its website. The scholarship award will be sent to the winners’ current school of attendance or future educational place they plan to attend. The school will then disburse the award as a financial aid.
